HP Turbine inspection critical path work usually includes first stage nozzle NDT inspection and in-place repair. However, ECM has removed and shop repaired more severely eroded nozzles with our in-house shop personnel and machinists. ECM's proficient in-field machinists minimize the associated field blueing and scraping nozzle fit work at reassembly.

Other HP, IP and LP Diaphragm and rotor repairs are done either in the field or, should the repairs require greater work, at our shop.

All reassembly and alignment readings are carefully reviewed and appropriate component realignment is undertaken in the assembly process. Centerline alignment is achieved utilizing laser, tight wire or alignment bar methods.

ECM provides the complete 'hands-on' disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of all generator mechanical components. The electrical component inspection and repair is conducted by our affiliated independent specialized companies.

ECM maintains an 'open book' policy regarding all 'as-found' and 'as-left' records and readings. We invite our customer's review of these readings and of our daily log book entries.

ECM believes in limited customer participation, as we welcome input.  We recognize our responsibility of running the job, yet keep our customers informed in a timely manner. However, we are entirely open to work with our customers in any reasonable manner they may want.  It is our business success to understand and provide the varied services that our customers require.
