Personnel

East Coast Management, Inc. was incorporated in 1973 in the State of New Jersey. Since it's beginning, ECM has grown with over thirty years of successful turbine overhaul work. Our growth has led to a full service shop of over 30,000 square feet, which is centrally located at 9070 State Road, Philadelphia, Pa.  ECM's Corporate office is located at 110 Ardmore Ave., Ardmore, Pa.

Recognizing that it is people that make projects successful, we have developed a high caliber staff of experienced professionals that are skilled in all phases of the business. ECM's staff is dedicated to pleasing each customer with our total performance commitment. Our services are customer centered; from the proposal stage, to the actual overhaul and repair phase, to the completion of the project with final invoicing and reports.


ECM's President
Mr. Sam Heller has provided the leadership and direction for responsive and reliable service. Mr. Heller, a Penn State Graduate, with former OEM field service engineer and management background, has over forty years technical and management expertise. Mr. Heller has focused ECM's managers, project field managers, superintendents, and shop personnel in our team commitment to efficient, high quality service that is sensitive to our customers' needs.

ECM's Shop Manager
Mr. Bill Goodson has over forty-five years of machining and field engineer service experience. Mr. Goodson's marine engineering background, OEM training and field engineering service for DeLaval and Brown Boveri includes extensive knowledge of turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, gears, and turbine overhauls of nuclear, fossil, combined cycle sets as well as refinery components.

ECM's Turbine Maintenance Manager
Mr. Jack Wesa has over twenty-five years of turbine and rotating equipment overhaul/repair management, and field supervision experience. Mr. Wesa is a graduate of State University of New York Maritime College, Eastern CT State College and Thames Valley State Technical College.  Mr. Wesa has a wide background and first hand knowledge of many OEM turbine generator set overhauls, including, nuclear, fossil geothermal and IPPs. Mr. Wesa is responsible for marketing/sales, operations, labor union relations, project tracking, customer relations and business development.


The following key ECM field superintendents/project managers are the hub of our field success. While each man brings his individual strengths and years of experience, they all deliver continuous high quality project overhaul, retrofit, and maintenance service to our customers. Each field superintendent is committed, accountable, responsive, and has a true sense of pride in their work. We share ownership of each project with our customers.

ECM Project Manager
Mr. Steve Spicer has over thirty-six years experience over a wide range of turbines, nuclear, steam, and specializes in gas turbines. Gas turbines overhauled are at the following stations; Linden (shipped to Ecuador), Portland, Calumet, Lombard, City of Dover, Hay Road, Christiana, and Fisk. Steve also has varied experience in overhaul auxiliary rotating equipment including reactor cooling pumps, gas compressors, circ and Condensate pumps, boiler feed pumps, and FD, ID fans. Steam turbines overhauled are at these stations; Big Bend, Indian River, Pleasants, Salem Nuclear, Reading, Essex, Edge Moor, Dover, Delaware City and of varied OEMs including, Westinghouse, DeLaval, GE, and Allis Chalmers.

ECM Project Manager
Eric Wesa has over twenty years of varied turbine experience, including nuclear, fossil IPP and gas units. Eric is a graduate of Central CT. State College. Eric's on-site management and in-depth knowledge of steam path, alignment, controls, project planning, and efficient productive supervision of manpower, provide a solid accomplished background from which our customers appreciate his dedicated personalized service. Eric has successfully overhauled turbines and auxiliary equipment (i.e. Reactor coolant pumps, service water pumps, circ pumps, traveling water screens, coal pulverizers), at the following stations; Lovett, Bowline, Arthur Kill, Mount Tom, Eddystone, Schuylkill, Danskammer, Bridgeport Harbor, Norwalk Harbor, MMWEC, Maine Yankee, Vermont Yankee, Davis Besse and RESCO.


Lead Shop Superintendent
Alvin Forsyth has over twenty-six years of rotating equipment installation and component machining experience across a broad industrial application base including: power plant, refinery, aluminum plant, waste water treatment plants, shipboard lathe rebuilds, industrial compressors repairs. Other related equipment Al has provided planning, tooling, including design and fabrication of specific specialty machining equipment solutions for specific jobs. Al has specifically worked on hydros, steam, and gas turbines at the following stations: Portland, Yards Creek, Indian River, Grand Gulf, Titus, Limerick, Chaulk Point, Consolidated Aluminum, QUAKER State Oil Refinery, Cardinal Power Station, Sammis, Mitchell, and Weirton Steel.
 


Project Superintendent
David E. Johnson has over 30+ years experience in the Turbine overhaul and maintenance business.  He has excellent knowledge of Steam and Gas turbines, as well as Generators and associated equipment such as valves, boiler feed turbines, coal handling equipment  and Hydro generator overhauls.  Dave excels in 'take command' ability as superintendent with his full experienced background.  Craft union rapport, and their respect result in high labor productivity and customer satisfaction.  Recently Dave has been superintendent over ALSTOM Generator overhauls and retrofits at the East Bend Station, H. Wilson Sundt Plant,  Boardman Plant, Labadie Plant, Milford Power Plant and the Richland Power Station. 

Other projects he ran include Steam and Gas Turbine overhauls at Electric Junction, Titus Station, Portland Station, Hunterstown Station, Hudson Station, and the Conemaugh Power Plant, a Hydro overhaul at Yards Creek Station, and an Expander overhaul at BP Oil in Marcus Hook, Pa.
 

Project Superintendent
Bob Gable has twenty-eight years of steam, gas and hydro overhaul experience. Bob's most recent project included project supervision of a major 400 MS Westinghouse steam turbine retrofit. This included field-machining modifications of ABB steam path replacement for the HP, IP and LP Turbines. This is the eleventh retrofit Bob has done. Bob has supervised overhaul projects at the following stations: Rush Island, Calumet, Big Stone, Martin, Shippensport, Hatfield, Perry, Homer City, Comemaugh, Springerville, St. Joe, Blenheim Gilboa, Delaware City, Madison, Portland, Titus, Indian River, Edgemore, Berrian Spring Hydro, and Yards Creek Hydro. In addition, gas turbines at Mountain, Hunterstown, Shawnee, Tolna, Orrtanna, and Hamilton.
